PMA Insurance Group Reveals Its Contempt For Its Policyholders
HEADLINE: PMA Insurance Group Reveals Its Contempt For Its Policyholders DATELINE: June 26, 2010 Have you ever been fired before starting a new job? That happened to me just this week. Here are the details. An attorney friend of mine in New Orleans referred me to Midlands Claims Administrators (MCA) in Addison, Texas. MCA is a Third Party Administration division of Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association Insurance Group (PMA). MCA needed someone who could handle their Construction Defect Liability claims. These claims are usually very complicated, many result in lawsuits, and awards can be very large. I’ve done tons of CD claims, so I was the perfect candidate to help them out. I was interviewed in a conference call by the HR director, the Addison claims manager, a California claims manager and a claims manager from Oklahoma City. The interview went very smoothly. Later, the HR director sent me a sample claim on one of their forms. They asked me to read it over and write a first report about the claim. I was glad to do it because it allowed me to showcase my claims skills. I sent it back and waited to hear from them. The HR director wrote an email stating that they were very impressed with my sample claim report. Another MCA employee wrote to me, stating that the company announced revisions to the claims form, and suggested that the revisions were due to my sample report. On Monday, June 14, 2010, I received a written offer of employment from MCA which I accepted. Understand this, my friends. I live in Atlanta. MCA is in a suburb of Dallas, Texas. For the kind of money they offered, I was willing to take up temporary residence in Texas. When you have a family, that can be a very disruptive career move. But my wife and I had thoroughly discussed it, and were willing to bear the inconvenience to see if the opportunity would work out for all concerned. So, the HR director sent me all the forms you might expect to become an employee of MCA. She called me and requested that my first day at work would be Monday, June 28, 2010. I agreed and began to make plans to show up for work that Monday. On Wednesday, June 23, I received a phone call from the HR Director. She told me she had another HR employee on the line also. She said she needed to ask me one question: “Russ, did you ever write a book? “Yes,” I replied. She continued. “Someone at corporate has discovered that you wrote this book, and they are concerned that your book represents a conflict of interest.” Me: “Have you read the book? HR: “No.” Me: “Has anyone at corporate read the book?” HR: “No.” Me: “Then how can it be a conflict of interest?” HR: "We have to place all plans on hold. We will let you know what the decision is.” I even sent the HR lady an Ebook copy of both books so she…and everyone else at the company…could actually read the book. By mid-afternoon the next day, HR called and rescinded the offer of employment. Friends, this book…“Insurance Claim Secrets REVEALED!”…was published in Spring of 2007. By October 2007, the book had reached the Number One ranking at Amazon for insurance claims books. It has REMAINED at Number One continuously at Amazon ever since...to this very day. The very implication that I tried to hide the book’s existence is preposterous on its face. I had given MCA a blanket authorization to do a background check without restriction. Any reasonable person would naturally expect that the HR people would complete a thorough background check, including entering my name in a search engine. Go ahead…enter my name into ANY search engine and look at how much material you find. Was I trying to hide my writings? You be the judge. Finally, consider what the rescission of employment REALLY means. PMA Insurance Group has deemed my book to be a conflict of interest if I was their employee. My book shows consumers how to take control of their insurance claims, and how to collect every dollar they are entitled to collect. Therefore, PMA Insurance Group and MCA do not wish to have their policyholders collect all the money they are entitled to collect under the terms and conditions of their policy. The message of my book and the claims philosophy of PMA Insurance Group are mutually exclusive. No other conclusion can be reached by any reasonable grown-up. PMA Insurance Group is not alone in its desire to pay YOU the least amount of money YOU WILL ACCEPT. Nearly ALL insurance companies show their contempt for their policyholders in the claims process. YOU NEED AN ADVOCATE...someone on YOUR SIDE. This book gives you what you need to collect ALL you are entitled to collect. GET THIS BOOK TODAY!!
